Today, I officially left my home. I was bittersweet but more bitter than sweet because of how little sleep I had gotten the night before. I was restless, full of anxiety and excitement. As I am typing this, a full 10 hours later, I just can't believe this incredible opportunity that I have been blessed with. I can not thank my parents enough. Cheers to rolling my clothes and the Costco-sized Skippy packed away! WHEN HOKU (my 139 parker housemate and soon-to-be SAS roommate) and I had to order a million textbooks for Semester at Sea. I literally tried cramming it all in my duffel bag. Hopefully we actually read and use them! Peep my new Chaco's as well. I am so ready for this trip. Ya'll watch and see. Excited for what is to come, learning and all!
SAS= Semester at Sea
Semester at Sea is a new and early journey that I will embark on this year. If you are unfamiliar with SAS, imagine Suite Life on Deck. Through Colorado State University, I will be taking 4 classes and also be travelling to 11 countries. My travels begin January 5, 2017 where I will disembark from Ensenada, Mexico and set sail to (in order): Hawaii, Japan, China, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, Mauritius, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, and Germany! Wish me the best of luck and stay tuned for #SASsynabs! |
